Our New Life Together

After living together for a year now, Lee and I have gotten to know each other very well and have decided that it is time to take our relationship to the next level.

So it was, this past Saturday, in the vibrant atmosphere of a Japanese festival, I popped the question.

"Do you want to get a goldfish?"

"I do."

And so it came to be that we are now the proud owners of two lovely goldfish, Spot and Rover.




Being first time fish owners, we did not have a bowl ready and waiting at home and so were forced to purchase the 12 dollar one you see here. However, after looking up proper goldfish care on the internet, we were dismayed to learn that our fish could not get enough oxygen in this size of a bowl. Our hands thus tied, we ventured off to the local fish store (perhaps the one place in Japan where the fish are not eaten) and upgraded, for the low, low price of only 20 dollars, to the posh setup you can see in the video below:



They seem to be much happier in their new abode and Lee and I can sleep better at night knowing that the oxygen level for our babies is just right.
