Shakespeare-san
The Japanese language does not distinguish between the "R" sound and the "L" as does English. The sound the Japanese use for both lies somewhere between the two and is more or less equivalent to the "D" in "tidy." Sometimes in their writing Japanese students mistake these letters. Thus, I received the following:
"This March, I went to see the play for the first time. The name is 'Comedy of Errors.' I couldn't stop crapping."
